Delta volleyball sweeps pair of matches to start season
The Delta College women’s volleyball team started the season at home Wednesday with a pair of victories, 3-0 over Los Medanos and 3-0 over Solano.

The Delta College women's volleyball team started the season at home Wednesday with a pair of victories, 3-0 over Los Medanos and 3-0 over Solano.
Against Los Medanos, the Mustangs won by scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-19. Then, against Solano, scores were 25-22, 25-18, 25-19.
Angelique Stepanoff, a sophomore from Brentwood, had 20 kills, 15 digs and two blocks on the day to lead the team. Angel Lambert, a sophomore from Lincoln, had 12 kills and 11 blocks. Analeise Almgren, a freshman from Brentwood, added 18 digs and two aces.
Delta (2-0) next plays on the road on Friday with a pair of matches against De Anza and Taft.
