Volleyball Season Preview

Once again, the women's volleyball team is off to a fantastic start to the season as they recently won their Big 8 Conference opener in straight sets over Diablo Valley to improve to 12-1 on the season. Coming off a 2024 season that saw them reach the NorCal Regionals 3rd round they have won at least 26 matches in three straight years after going 26-5 last season.

 

Wasting no time in making her mark with the Mustangs is redshirt freshmen Hadlee Gray who currently has 191 kills which is good for fourth best in the state. Freshmen Emily Yarbrough and sophomore Mia Alomia are second on the team with 78 kills apiece.

 

Following a freshmen season that saw her record a second-best on the team 354 assists sophomore Paige Taylor has already surpassed that total this season as her 440 assists leads the state as she averages 11 assists per set. 

 

Big 8 Conference play continues today as the Mustangs are on the road taking on Folsom Lake at 6:00 pm. They are back at home on Wednesday for a 6:00 pm first serve against MJC.
