STOCKTON — The Delta Mustangs overcame came a rough start and provided a stunning finish to their match against the defending state volleyball champions.
After losing the first game and falling behind by 11 points late in the seconds, the Mustangs rallied to win the set and match, defeating American River 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 15-8 on Friday at the Delta Classic. It was a signature win for Delta (6-0) against the Beavers, who are also the Mustangs' Big 8 Conference rival. The tourney continues today
