The San Joaquin women's swimming team delivered a strong performance at the 23rd Annual Mariner Invite on March 6, 2026, showcasing impressive depth and individual talent across multiple events. The Mustangs' 'A' relay teams set the tone, capturing first place in both the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:02.05 and the 200 Free Relay, finishing in 1:49.27.
Crystallyn Tran led the charge with a standout day, securing three individual victories. Tran claimed first in the 100 Free (58.84), the 100 Fly (1:01.99), and the 200 IM (2:23.26). Victoria Guzman and Kylie Richardson also had stellar meets, each earning two first-place finishes. Guzman dominated the distance freestyle events, winning the 200 Free (2:04.70) and the 500 Free (5:29.15). Richardson was untouchable in the breaststroke, taking honors in the 100 Breast (1:12.06) and the 200 Breast (2:40.67).
Further strong finishes included Mo Schmierer's first-place effort in the 400 IM with a time of 5:28.79 and Rebecca Tunquist's victory in the 200 Back, clocking in at 2:36.26. The team's collective efforts resulted in numerous top placements throughout the competitive invite.
