The San Joaquin Delta Mustangs secured a 10-6 victory over Folsom Lake at home on Calvin Riley Memorial Day. The Mustangs overcame an early deficit with a decisive three-run eighth inning, fueled by a strong offensive performance. This win improves San Joaquin's season record to 18-7,8-4 Big 8, breaking a two-game losing streak.

 

San Joaquin initially took a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Folsom Lake responded with two runs in the third, immediately followed by San Joaquin adding one more to make it 4-2. Folsom Lake then took the lead with three runs in the fourth inning and extended it by one in the fifth, establishing a 6-4 advantage. The Mustangs reclaimed the lead in the sixth inning with three runs, moving the score to 7-6. The game remained tight until San Joaquin exploded for three additional runs in the eighth inning, solidifying their 10-6 lead.

 

Aidan Hall was a key offensive contributor for the Mustangs, going 4-5 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Trent Keys and Tyson Reis also delivered, each collecting 2 hits and 2 RBIs. On the mound, Adrian Boles provided crucial relief, pitching 3.2 scoreless innings, allowing only 1 hit while striking out 5, to preserve the lead for the Mustangs.
