Santa Rosa used two big innings to put the Mustangs away. Tyler Condie was touched for five runs in the third inning, three of which were earned. Joey Morris gave up four runs in the sixth as the Bear Cubs put the game out of reach.
Offensively, the Mustangs were fairly quiet all day. Bryan Rosario and Jimmy McCleneghan had two hits a piece as the Mustangs managed just six on the day.
With the loss the Mustangs fall to 13-3 overall and 2-1 in the Big 8. The Bear Cubs improve to 12-4 and 1-2 in conference play.
Delta will host Diablo Valley College on Tuesday at 2:00pm
