The Mustangs' bats were hot early despite the frigid temperatures. Delta got to San Mateo early with a five run second inning and a six run third inning. Delta put the game away for good with four more runs in the fifth inning. Lead off hitter Taison Corio paced the Mustangs with two hits and 4 rbi. Zack Mathis continued his hot hitting with three hits including a double, triple and four rbi. Anthony Lucchetti and Thomas Greely each had two hits and a pair of rbi.
Defensively, the Mustangs were error free on the day and got six solid innings from starter Kevin Kyle who finished with seven strikeouts on just four hits.
