Mustangs bounce back in SOCAL Challenge
1/30/19 at LA Valley College
The Mustangs offense awakened in game one vs LA Valley putting up 13 runs on twelve hits in a 13-2 victory. The top of the order paved the way as all four hitters recorded multiple hits. Bryan Rosario, Jimmy MCleneghan, and Zack Mathis had three hits apiece, while Dillon Tatum had two. Mathis recorded a double, a triple, three runs scored, and two rbi.
The Mustangs were dominant on the mound. Robert Gasser got the start and threw five quality innings allowing just two hits and one run, while striking out seven. Troy Wentworth, Jonathon Pierce and Jake Standridge finished the game striking out three more for a total of 10 strikeouts on the day.
