Freshman hurler CJ Whelan signs with Tulane

Delta College freshman, CJ Whelan, has signed a Letter-of-Intent to play baseball at Tulane University in 2019. He will pitch this spring for Delta and then transfer to Tulane next fall. CJ opted to redshirt at Delta last year so he could improve his pitching. The move paid off as he improved his velocity up into the low 90's. Academics are a priority to CJ as he possesses a 3.87 gpa.  Tulane is the perfect fit of a quality baseball and academic program.
